Chapter 036: Sakura's Depression Volume 4 comes to a dramatic start when we see the newly-transformed Naruto beat the daylights out of an unprepared Haku. Meanwhile, Kakashi demonstrates his superior skill and prepares to take out Zabuza using a combination of his Ninja Dogs, and his trademark move, the Chidori. Haku admits defeat to Naruto, and just as his mask falls off, Naruto realizes who he is and cannot kill him. Haku commands him to, but before he can Haku jumps out to take the bullet for his idol Zabuza. Unfortunately, this bullet came in the form of Kakashi's blade-like hand piercing through the boy's heart. Zabuza survives this incident, but can no longer do anything to effect Kakashi in any way. Zabuza continues to fight in futility until Gatou arrives with full miniature army in toe and ridicules the dead Haku and the injured Zabuza. Zabuza then decides he will kill Gatou, and takes a kunai in his teeth and plows through the crowd of minions taking countless spears to the back and cuts off Gatous head in one swift blow. As Zabuza leaves the world, he asks to be placed next to his deceased comrade, and realizes that he was as pure as snow. The remaining members of Gatou's "army" then try to take down Naruto and Kakashi, but are scared away by Kage Bunshins and an onslaught from the village led by Inari. Sasuke awakens, having never really died, and Team 7 leaves happily to return to Leaf Village, with an A-Rank mission unofficially under their belts, and a bridge in Wave country by the name of the Great Naruto Bridge in their memories forever. |
